Weekend trip to Muscat - Hotel Recommendations? (Dubai)

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in Muscat. Somewhere between Protected content 600 AED equivalent per night. Also somewhere near the beach or not too far from the city center. Never been there before, so not sure where to stay.
