Moving your pets (Dublin)

Hi! I have two cats I will be wanting to move from South America to Ireland once I travel there.
I understand that I need to get them vaccinated, microchipped and they need to be tested some days before the flight.
However, I'd like to know if anyone has moved their pets to Ireland, what was the experience like, etc.
