learning Japanese in Düsseldorf? (Duesseldorf)

Hi, I just moved to Düsseldorf, "the largest Japanese community in Europe," and thought it a good opportunity to finally learn Japanese. I just don't know where to go. Any recommendations? I don't know if it's better doing this through a Japan (cultural) Center, Volkshochschule or something else. My native language is Englisch (so maybe the VHS isn't the best option?)
