Please advise me on the following (Duesseldorf)

Hey - I have a very good friend (we have been friends for 2 years) who is an IT software engineer who is about to commence in a new position in Dusseldorf, but has been unable to find accommodation so far.
He studied in Torino, Italy, and he is originally from Syria.He has been accepted as a refugee in Germany as he was unable to return home after he completed his studies and has all his papers.
He speaks fluent English and Italian and some German (which he is studying) and of course Arabic. Please message me if you know of anyone who could help him or give me some advice to pass on to him.
