Headquartered in Duesseldorf, Germany, novero has main offices in Atlanta, Toronto, Singapore and Copenhagen and various local sales and marketing offices.
The Sales Manager - Japan, will have main responsibility and accountability to lead all the sales related activities and open and develop new, alternative sales channels for novero products in Japan.
The Sales Manager will be expected to apply experience, creativity, planning and leadership to achieve defined goals, while developing local sales strategy, implementation plans and tactics which will enable novero to open new sales channels, develop its existing retail customer base and grow its market share, expand into new markets, increase the speed of deployment of sales and marketing strategies and help the company to position novero as a premium brand in the Japanese market.
The Sales Manager will be reporting directly to the Sales Director ASEAN. He/she will work closely with the ASEAN sales and marketing teams to develop and implement sales and channel strategies in Japan. The Sales Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of the customer relationships, opening new sales channels, developing novero brand and for all operational sales and marketing related activities in Japan.
The Sales Manager will collect market intelligence, develop sales channel expansion plans and implement of these plans.
The Sales Manager must be a strong action oriented leader with the ability to understand the strategic goals of novero. Based on these underlying strategies he/she must be able to drive implementation of sales activities, capable of establishing tactical plans and be accountable for results.
Key responsibilities will include
Meet the agreed growth, volume, revenue and margin targets.
Develop existing and open new retail channels for novero products.
Build up and manage a local sales team.
Secure with own activities high customer satisfaction.
Define sales plans together with the sales management.
Define regional and local sales channel strategy and implement the plan together with the local partners.
Open alternative and unconventional sales channels for novero products.
Help novero to understand the sales channel requirements for premium and luxury product category and find new ways to enter to these channels with novero products.
Develop together with our own retail marketing team and with external agencies campaigns and sales promotions to support novero product sales through new and alternative sales channels.
Demonstrate a significant understanding of novero’s regional markets and segments and the consumer behaviour.
Actively participate in acquisition and development of new customers with focus on retail channels.
Identify, analyse, pursue and report on business opportunities with existing and prospective customers
Management and Leadership
Build and maintain a high performance culture through own behaviour and through delivering consistently results meeting the agreed targets
Manage multiple sales and channel development projects, prioritize work and balance strategic and tactical issues
Provide clear leadership that establishes credibility with retail customers and new customer development.
The candidate must have ability to work with people on all organizational levels and to build network of key influencers.
The candidate must have not less than 5 years experience in FMCG/ fashion and/or luxury industry with a proven track record of developing retail sales channels, meeting sales targets, working effectively in a loose organizational structure, executing local sales and marketing campaigns and communicating with customers and internal organization. The candidate must have comprehensive language skills with fluent written and spoken English and Japanese.
A degree from a reputable university is required..
