Voluntary translators needed (Duesseldorf)
as you may have seen on TV, the refugee situation is getting more and more critical every day. We urgently need people who can help with translations. You do not obligatory need to have a translator's diploma, however this might be helpful. Furthermore, you will have to undergo an interview and have 2 shorter trainings where you will learn which legal difficulties (German and internatonal law) and psychological problems the refugees might be facing.
At the moment, the Diakonie needs at least 10 people who speak Albanian. Other languages are required, too. If you can help and are willing to sacrifice 2 days for the training, please send me a personal message and I will forward your email to Ute Clevers from the Diakonie who works together with all other local organisations.
Thanks in advance for your help!
