possible move to durban (Durban)

hi there, my family and i are in a position where we might need to move to durban as my partner has a possibility of a job. could someone tell me what it is like to live over there, the crime and is it really dangerous? also what is it like for children, my little girl is three are the nursery and schools over there good ?? any info would be much appreciated! thanks in advance! debs
