They say you are not local (Edinburgh)
I am looking for a job in non-profit sector in Edinburgh. I have a background of working for international organisations (UN, OSCE, etc.) which is not hugely helpful here. Everytime after an interview I get a similar response which can be summirized as "The panel all felt that you interviewed very well, however on this occasion we had another candidate who had experience in a broad range of areas working in Scotland".
I have no idea at the moment how to break this wall. Have you ever experienced this? What did you do? Shall I try to start all over again and look for an internship trying to get some contacts and local knowledge?
I will be grateful for any answer.
