Short text from the website:
"Durban Ski-Boat Club is one of the largest Ski Boat Clubs in the country and hosts the biggest Off Shore Fishing Competition in the world every April. Although primarily a fishing club, it is also a great place for families to spend the weekend. We have an awesome, large grass patch which leads onto the beach. This beach is ideal for families, especially those with small children, as there are no strong currents or pounding surf to deal with while having a swim in the warm Indian Ocean, protected by Vetch’s Pier."
"Durban Ski Boat Club is one of the oldest fishing clubs in the country.
This can be confirmed when you see that we have a number of gentlemen in our 100 Club. This means that their age plus their number of years as a member of DSBC is equal to 100 or over. These are people we are very privileged to still have as members.
We pride ourselves on the history of our club and this can be seen by the photographs that we have in our bar, which have been kindly donated by members, as well as documents."
The place has a big terrace, bar area, restaurant area and the endless beach/sea directly in front.
Friday might be a busy evening here, and we did not get an "exclusive" place for us / InterNations as such (otherwise we would have had to pay 2600.- R venue fee ...),
But I do not see a problem, since the place is so big, that we will definitely be able to gather in numbers.
This is somewhat a very special month, because it is Internations 9th birthday this month and reason to celebrate, looking at the huge success and at the fun and "home"-feeling Internations and therefore we members ourselves have provided to everyone during this short period of time.
