The heat of summer in Australia has reminded me that it will be my first Christmas without snow on a Christmas tree. There will be no snow-covered scenes! None whatsoever!
It's hard to imagine people swimming, surfing, and riding pushbikes at Christmas break or "Australian"-style Santa wearing an Akubra hat and thongs, riding in a ute pulled by kangaroos. Sounds pretty odd to those who arrive from the northern hemisphere. But how exciting!
Is there anything better than going to the beach and making a snow angel in sand? Next time you’re at the beach, have a go.
In the meantime, let's share your Christmas stories from all over the world. I am very looking forward to hearing them all.
Yours with Jingle Bells,
