Ready to Join?

Join us on Saturday, August 26 at The Oozlefinch Craft Brewery for a late afternoon get-together! Kiddos and dogs are welcome (although pups are only allowed outside per Virginia's brewery policy). Bring your lawn chairs in case seating is hard to find and you wish to enjoy a pint in the great outdoors while taking in the beautiful atmosphere of Fort Monroe! You can also play a game of corn hole if you feel up for it!

The Oozlefinch Craft Brewery opened its doors to the public in September 2016 to serve the Hampton Roads community. Its menu features a wide variety of craft beers which you can find here: If you get hungry, the "All About the Cheese" food truck will be on site from noon to 10pm that day. And if you're still around at 7pm you will get to enjoy some live music played by Scuppernongaree, a trio that performs original songs that celebrate Coastal Virginia's history, landmarks and people. The band plays guitar, mandolin, keyboard and bass in a folk style with a bit of rock, pop and good-hearted fun.

Finally, you may want to consider combining this month's InterNations event with a visit of Fort Monroe if you've never been there! Fort Monroe is a former military base rich in American history which was decommissioned in 2011. Located on a point of land known as Old Point Comfort at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, this key area influenced the country's story from the beginning and served as a strategic defensive site for more than four centuries. More information can be found here:

We look forward to seeing you at the event!
