Durban Event: Food, Fun Times and Music at St. Clements
St. Clements, in a house with a “secret” garden out back and a delightful plant nursery out front, is one of Durban’s favourite neighbourhood restaurants. Host-owner Steve Clements is legendary for introducing Thai (and more recently Lao) food to Durban. Arrive from 6:00pm and let’s have an early festive InterNations “party”. We have exclusive use of the venue for the evening. Kitchen closes 8:00pm for food orders. Full menu/bar. Food and drinks to own account.
* NOTE: R50 per person requested donation on arrival to cover overheads.
Quark (Dan’s album Max Roach Park with British drummer Mark Huggett was nominated for a South African Music Award for best jazz album in 2006 and Fiona has headlined at Splashy Fen) will play from their new album, Jetshock. There will be a chance to enjoy it as background music and also, for the more curious among us, to hear Dan talk about the lyrical content and how it, and the music, relates to the story of the human race and its place in the cosmos. * Jetshock the new CD available for purchase at R150. Great stocking stuffer!
Ample street parking. Car guards. 191 Musgrave Road, half a block before Musgrave Centre.
See you there for fun times at a charming, convenient venue. You can visit quark.africa on the web for more on the music and St. Clements on Facebook for more on the venue.
