Ricardo Gomes, a Brazilian biologist, and filmmaker, he dedicates his life to change our way to see the ocean and to explore the human connection with the sea while inspiring, raising awareness, educating, and engaging society.
In 2014 he released the documentary “Mar Urbano”(Urban Sea), a project he spent 15 years filming the underwater life of Copacabana and Ipanema beaches.
In 2017 he released his second documentary “Baia Urbana”(Urban Bay) about the underwater sea life of the Guanabara Bay. The film highlights the marine life that lives closest to urban coastal areas. By demonstrating that life still exists in the waters closest to cities, this documentary brings a renewed motivation and inspiration to the proper management and conservation of oceans
