InterNations September Event @ Acampamento Farroupilha
This camp is assembled every year for two weeks to commemorate the Farroupilha Revolution and celebrate Gaúcho traditions where camaraderie, cultural interaction and exchange are cultivated, much like that of the InterNations spirit.
This mega event headed up by the Internations Ambassador Jay Garner, is coming up on it’s fifth year running and has become a tradition and hit among InterNations local members.
A Churrasco/BBQ will be made in the traditional Gaúcho fashion. Multiple cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken and sausage are cooked slowly and served hot off of the fire all day, accompanied by a variety of fresh salads and dishes.
The event is free to attend for all InterNations members, however if you would like to eat there will be a charge of 40 reais per person or you may opt to pre-reserve your meal for 30 reais (please contact Ambassador Jay Garner for details). Drinks, beers, sodas, etc can be purchased at the bar.
This InterNations Official Event will also be in partnership with The American Society of Porto Alegre and The Polyglot Club of Brazil and promises to be the synthesis of the cultural exchange which they all promote.
To better serve our members we have chosen a new and better structured “Piquete” called “Piquete 24 Irmãos”.
It is located at Lote 45 in the C sector, near the RBS piquete.
* Please let the Ambassadors know or post on the event if you confirm on the event and do not plan on having lunch with us. **Please feel free to bring friends and family to this event and let the Ambassadors know if they plan on dining with us.
