InterNations Puebla January Party - Dia de Reyes!!
The Three Wise Men's Day in Mexico (Dia de los 3 Reyes Magos) is celebrated every 6 January. This date is a very important day for children, because it is the day that "Los 3 Reyes Magos" arrive to all the houses in Mexico to leave gifts to the kids that have been good.
For adults, it is the occasion to see the family and friends and eat a delicious "Rosca de Reyes", a mexican bread baked specially for this day that symbolizes a crown.
It is usual that each one must take the knife to cut their own portion. Inside the bread there is one or several small dolls (plastic representations of Child Jesus) and the person who finds it, is obliged to offer a party, tamales or atole, on 2 Feb, the Day of the Virgin of Candelaria.
As it is tradition, the Amparo Museum hosts its annual "Rosca de Reyes" event, and we just have been invited to attend.
So, following our Mexican Christmas-winter traditions, I invite you to come and get a slice of the "Rosca".
The guest list will be closed on 5 Jan!
P.S. Since this is a public event, I encourage you to be on time to get a good spot.
