InterNations Philadelphia Official Event @ Forbidden Drive Trail
Your health is important to us!
We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in all our communities around the world and, according to local authorities, certain in-person activities are permitted in your community. Please make sure to follow the latest official health guidelines and restrictions in your area. We hope you stay safe and enjoy the event!
For our 3rd official event of 2021 and after the success of the previous ones, we are going to do another hike for the official beginning of Spring that will allow us to be social with other members safely (with social distancing and mask), enjoy being outdoors and also do some exercise!!
This time we will hike the famous Forbidden Drive Trail (2018 Pennsylvania Trail of the Year) in Wissahickon Valley Park which is the 2nd largest park in the city and was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1964.
As an easy starting point we will meet on the parking lot of Deke's (BBQ restaurant) @ 4901 Ridge Avenue between 2:15PM and 2:30PM (try to arrive earlier to be on time). For members coming from Center City, the Wissahickon train and bus stations are also next to our meeting point. We will walk together on Lincoln Drive Trail to the beginning of Forbidden Drive Trail.
Following current official guidelines and to keep everyone safe, all guests will be expected to:
- stay 6 feet apart
- wear a mask at all times
This event is limited to 30 guests on a first-come first-served basis and there is also a waiting list for your convenience. Please RSVP only if you are seriously planning to attend and please cancel your confirmed attendance later if you can not make it. Sneakers or hiking shoes are recommended (and don't forget your mask!!).
Rain Date: Sunday March 28th @ 2PM
Looking forward to meet you or see you again!!
