"Be Impeccable With Your Word" – such an agreement sometimes might seem challenging to implement in ways we like. In this workshop, we will practice authentic expression and empathetic listening. Our guest speaker will introduce an overview of the skills involved in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), how to start speaking and receiving from the heart in connection with our needs, and the blossoming this brings to the relationship with ourselves, as well as with others.

NVC is an approach to nonviolent living developed by Dr Marshall B. Rosenberg in the 1960s: all human beings have the capacity for compassion and only resort to violence or harmful behaviour when they do not recognize more effective strategies for meeting needs. Learn more: NVCGeneva.ch/resources

After a brief presentation we will practice in breakout rooms, then back together have open discussions and Q&A, towards clarity on how we're relating to ourselves and others, and the tools and attitudes we could implement. The event will not be recorded, it requires turning on your cameras.

DAVID LAOU, MSc in IT and Entrepreneurship, is an #opentowork investment professional and freelance business analyst (CFA L3 candidate, CIA and CBAP, certified Scrum Master & Product Owner), passionate about greater good, sustainability and effective altruism. He has co-founded NVCGeneva.ch and runs trainings, mediations and weekly practice groups.
