Strollers, originally started in Shenyang, is one of the very few survivors of the old generation of western restaurants in Northeast part of China. It was once a legend, known as a top notch fine dining establishment by many expats. However, as the expats community came and went, local economy stagnated, Strollers suffered. It was once out of business, taken over by several owners after the founder moved to the US, and renamed for numerous times.

Nevertheless, when everyone starts to be convinced that Stroller is just going to become one of many restaurants and bars in Dalian, which had their days of glory and gradually became history, she was majestically restored and came back to life.
Packed with kitsch to bursting point and decorated with terrific posters, relics and the bizarre from all over the world, Strollers tries to remind people of the “good old days”. The food menu is still comprehensive and beer range remains solid. But will she still keep up with good quality of food and service and bring back the good memory? I guess that leaves us to find out this Saturday night.
