Tours available in our museum, mini Forest and technical lab: ZapLab

With this event we want to promote Villa Zapakara, a nonprofit organization that aims to be a permanent offer when it comes to art, culture and technical education since 2009. The organization consists of a museum and a fablab = ZapLab @Villa Zapakara. Our current Sranan Krakri exhibition is about the strength of Suriname's Culture, Nature and the strength within yourself.

We welcome expats working in Suriname to discover our Museum, take a walk around in our Mini Forest with more than 50 medicinal plants and herbs to feel a sense of the Amazon forest in the heart of the city. And take a look in our ZapLab, a technical workspace with a 3-D printer, laser cutter and an embroidery machine.

During this event we will serve ice-teas and cocktails with flavors from our homegrown garden. Our café will serve a diverse menu inspired by Surinamese dishes & flavors.

Program:
7 pm - 8:30 pm: Informal gathering. Walk around the museum with guide
8:30 pm: InterNations Ambassador opens the evening
8:45 pm: Presentation by Team Villa Zapakara
9 pm - 10 pm: Eat and drink some wonderful cocktails specially prepared for this evening

This is a special event and we hope to see you! Please do invite friends using the invite form on this site, but we do request that your friends sign up too, so we know we have sufficient drinks and food for everyone.
