Arts + Rec is one of the newest sports to open in Uptown Minneapolis, and certainly the most unique. T/he menu is fun and a little irreverent, with some local highlights: Dorito-crusted Ellsworth cheese curds with Cry Baby Craig's hot honey; ham-and-pickle croquettes made with Black Forest ham from Lowry Hill Meats. But the nine-hole mini golf course may be an even bigger draw. Each hole has a Minnesota-related theme designed by local artists. The August Bar, an homage to homegrown theatre legend August Wilson, takes on a Jean-Mitchelle Basquaiat decor style.
