InterNations brings together the expat community of Shanghai. This time The St Regis Bar is welcoming InterNations members again for a beautiful evening, with great vibes, and delicious  drinks!

The St Regis is one of the most storied hotel brands in history. It was founded by John Jacob Astor IV, one of the richest men of his time and who died in the sinking of the Titanic. Astor was the richest passenger aboard the RMS Titanic and was thought to be among the richest people in the world at that time, with a net worth of roughly $87 million when he died (equivalent to $2.44 billion in 2021). The original St Regis opened in New York City in 1904 at a total cost of $5.5 million at that time. It was technologically very advanced for its time with telephones in each room, a fire alarm system and central heating and cooling. Today St Regis has “Live Exquisite” as a tagline and is positioning everything “all around living exquisitely” while retaining the heritage, traditions and rituals the brand is known for.
