2 Working Parents on Ex Pat Assignment (Frankfurt)

Does anyone have experience living an expat life with 2 working parents of small children (ages 5 and 2). My husband and I are presently considering an opportunity to go to Germany for 2 years -- I've been offered the assignment, and he will likely find a job, as well. Any advice or thoughts you can share to make the transition as smooth as possible?
