Deposit problems (Frankfurt)

Hello all,

I have an expat problem and was wondering if anyone had a potential solution.

I moved out of my old flat 3 months ago and the landlord still has not returned my deposit. I have chased him but he has not replied or returned my calls. I have the receipt for the deposit and the landlord is a company. We both agreed that no damaged had occurred, so he is not holding my deposit for that reason.

Is there anything that the someone could recommend? is there a government body to assist with this type of thing? I could threaten legal action etc...

I am confident that German law is strong on this point but I have no idea where to look and who to speak with.

Any advice would be really helpful!
