FFM, Shadows of Our Forgotten Ancestors (Frankfurt)

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!

Ukrainian fellowship Wir Sind Ukrainer e.V. ( Protected content ) together with Platform SARAI ( Protected content ) would like to show you a range of ukrainian films. We plan to show already well-known films as well as the works of modern ukrainian film directors. The films will have English or German subtitles.
The famous masterpiece of Ukrainian cinematography Sergiy Paradjanov's "Shadows of Our Forgotten Ancestors" will start the show. The film features a detailed portrayal of Ukrainian Hutsul culture, showing not only the harsh Carpathian environment and brutal family rivalries, but also the beauty of Hutsul traditions, music, costumes, and dialect. The show will be accompanied with English or German subtitles.
Our aim is to familirize the German audience with the rich Ukrainian culture, to improve the image of Ukraine within the international community, to bring Ukraine closer to Europe and vice-versa.
