Foodie Advice (Frankfurt)

I'm a foodie from the US and know most of the quality brands and "brands to avoid" in that market, but I'm a little lost over here. The review system seems a little less rigorous than what I'm used to finding in my research.

Currently in the purchase queue: A blender and a grill. Regarding blenders, one frequent brand I see is proficook? Any suggestions? Thanks!
