Frankfurt am Main is widely known as being the dynamic home of international financial- as well as fair and exhibition business. For Frankfurt based Moonblinx Gallery, committed to providing an international forum to 20th and 21st century’s
extraordinary photographical art exclusively representing international Photography Artists and Estates, this special town is source and center of its activity: projects are triggered, exhibitions designed, art-works and publications internationally sold and lent. The drive and vitality of the city’s residents is subject to daily motivation for innovative projects and ideas. The unique museum-scape with over 60 museums partly lined along the Main-waterside provides an exceptionally versatile platform for cultural activity. Cultural Institutions, Off-Spaces und Galleries display their arts-portfolio. Frankfurt harbours outstanding private collections – patrons and artists innervate the town. Reason enough for Moonblinx Gallery to take a condign view on Frankfurt’s distinguished art-collections by publishing ARTHOMES2010. ARTHOMES adds to Moonblinx Gallery’s repertory of sophisticated projects, committed to its convention of establishing new
perspectives by operating internationally and contextually: be it the rediscovery of the amazing oeuvre of Polish Master Photographer Edward Hartwig or the conceptual design of the internationally noted exhibition- projects „Jahrhundertmensch“ and „Silver Heroes“.
For the first edition of the ARTHOMES Calendar-Series focusing on Frankfurt, Moonblinx Gallery operates in cooperation with photographer Karsten Thormaehlen. His portraits display precious new perspectives on the Arts-Buildings of the Main-Metropolis: He provides stunning insights into the multi-dimensional art-scene by selectively focusing on a special aspect of
the art-work’s presentation or specific characteristics of the exhibition space.
ARTHOMES grants the art-works new ambient quality, palladium as it were and enables boundless savouring. The current Calendar sets an anacrusis to an international Photo-Series featuring portraits of public as well as private and companies’ art-collections provided in Europe’s cultural centres.
