Interest to parents...UK private school places (Frankfurt)

Hello parents,

we have a service in Frankfurt open to expat and German families. We arrange UK boarding school placements and action packed summer courses for children and young people.

The placements and courses we offer:

1/. The Oberstufe course is a two-year program and known in the UK as joining the Sixth Form (A-Level). It's the UK equivalent to the German "Abitur". After completion of the placement, students are qualified for university entrance in both the UK and Germany.

2/. The Pre-IB (International Baccalaureate Diploma) Year, this is a one-year course for children in Year 10 with a view of returning to their German schools for Years 11 and 12. Children in Year 9 should contact ELES between September and December if they wish to participate in this course.

3/. International Baccalaureate Diploma - is open to any student aged 16 to 19. The curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay.

4/. GCSE – traditional UK two year course in years 10 and Protected content Protected content , were students typically chose between 8 or 10 generic subjects including Maths and English.

5/. IGCSE – Intensive GCSE, were international students chose 5 GCSE’s to be completed in one year as a prerequisite for A-Levels

6/. A-Levels – traditional UK two year course in years 12 and Protected content Protected content , were students typically select their specialist subjects before University entry.

7/. Half-term – circa 6 weeks introduction to boarding school life. An option for a student to try boarding before fully committing to a whole term or year.

8/. One or two terms or one to multiple years attending a boarding school at any age between Protected content old.

Parents with children in Years 10 or 12 should contact ELES between September and June.

Summer Courses in the UK

Our UK Summer courses run for Protected content and are generally held in July and August for students aged Protected content . Our packages include:

-Staying at a traditional UK boarding school (Hogwarts Harry Potter style!)
-Intensive courses of varying time frames
-Playing sports and team games
- Learning from qualified native-speaking teachers in small classes
-Support and care from school staff 24 hours a day
-Comprehensive optional activity program including rugby, football, archery, fencing, bouldering, rambling, swimming, horse riding, golf, sailing etc
-Airport pick-up service
-Staying at dormitories with children from different countries
-Day excursions to local sightseeing locations
-Students receive a certificate at the end of their stay, providing details on their performance and participation
-Making new friends from all over the world

Children usually stay in the UK for two to three weeks, four weeks is for the advanced course.
