Manager Business Development IPTV - TV Group

Job background:
In order to support sales increase of our clients new branded products in the TV group, we are looking for a qualified Business Development Manager to support the Content Expansion of their embedded IPTV platform
and high-tech products. This is a golden opportunity to be part of the international European roll-out into 22 countries and join a vibrant, entrepreneurial team of creative business partners

Main tasks & responsibilities :
Working within TV Marketing Europe team, the successful candidate should possess strong business and negotiation skills to LEAD the development and acquisition of new video,text, or audio content that will be accessible via their embedded IPTV platform in Europe.

Targeted support in following areas:
• Manage new product store offerings and Sales Administration
• Define content and service offers that will strengthen the current product offer after re-branding.
• Analyse competitor IPTV content offer positioning to justify application and content direction
• Identify potential content partners among Broadcasters, Telco Companies,
Online players and others that are matching
• Approach new partners to be added to the and gather information.
• Define key application functionalities with partners and European R&D
• Secure development resources and negotiate contractual terms with potential partners
• Manage content implementation project till the day of launch
• Interact with market research agencies and prepare ad hoc analysis about IPTV market and applications
trends development
• With Product Managers, plan and anticipate product planning in regards to IPTV
developments and functionality with sales companies, European R&D, as well as Japan team in Osaka
• Report to and manage communication with Japan
• 70% travel throughout Europe talking to potential partners, and 30% at the office
to follow up all issues
• Communication with 22 European countries as well as Japan on a daily basis

Profile & Requirements :
• Senior international graduate with solid experience in FMCG, and /or business with Asian CE companies
• 4 years academic post bachelor and Business Master degree would be a
plus.
• Total work experience minimum 7 years – knowledge of international environment is a plus
• Combined experiences bringing both deep understanding of technical products and a business
development orientated mentality (50% technical/ 50% business oriented)
• A pure sales person will NOT be suitable as sensitivity for technical issues is needed
• Candidate needs to have an experience about IPTV services, on set-top boxes
on satellite TV, audio or video and interactivity
• Genuine interest for all convergence projects like Google TV, android, Apple, iPhone Apps and awareness of competitors IPTV services
• Reliable in delivering results and analysis. Detail oriented person
• Working in pressure driven environments and meeting deadlines
• Demonstrating business and personal maturity in daily business life
• Comfortable with creating and holding presentations in Business English
• Flexible to travel within Europe and Japan (up to 70%)
• Team player
• Fluent in 2 European languages as highly desirable
• German is not mandatory as the working language is English
• The TV group is composed of 11 people (marketing assistants, product
managers, senior manager, general manager)
