I just read a thread dealing with that. And following that I received a private message describing in detail how such cold calls are being performed.

I can imagine that there's potentially more people suffering from such calls.

Now . . . I have good and bad news for you.

First the bad news: Such calls will persist.
The good news . . . I run the cold call training club on InterNations where victims can ask for solutions too . . . hehehe . . .

And for training reasons . . . I wonder whether this thread is now correct in Town Talk, should rather be in Marketplace (as cold call training is my business) or should be completely banned from InterNations as it is about a No-No subject (cold calling that is . . . bah . . . ). Or should it be moved to Expat Q&A as some cold calls are specifically directed at expats ? . . . I could even think of reasons to move this to Jobs or Housing section . . . hehehe . . .
