New posting- advice needed (Freetown)

I may be seconded to Freetown for a period of 2 years. It is an accompanied post so my wife can come. What I need to know is the following information please..

Is there a sizeable expat community
Is it a couples post. Will there be anything for her to do.
What do poeple do at the weekend
What is the standard of living like.
Is it easy to get to and from the airport
Is Freetown safe to walk around for my wife in the day.
