Life in Botswana ? (Gaborone)

Hi all. I'm looking for as much info as possible on expat life in Botswana. Where to stay, how safe is it, cost of living ?. We are a mixed race family with a 19 month old boy, I'm from Scotland and hubby is from Senegal.( we currently live in France) His work wants us to move to Africa, so far we said no to Nairobi,Nigeria, Sénégal, ivory Coast, and SA. We were looking at Ghana but have been trying to do some research on Botswana, which so far appeals to me a little more than Ghana. Do we need secure housing with guards ? What are the schools and healthcare like. Are the plenty for little monsters to do. How's the weather ? Sorry Protected content , but need to make a decision soon. Thanks
