Spending next year in Botswana for my company. (Gaborone)

Hello everyone,

I am very likely arriving in Botswana in mid August for a work assignment that will last about one year. I work in the Architecture and Construction industry.

I'm currently researching and will soon be negotiating my 'relocation' package.

Is there anyone who has had a similar situation and can discuss what their company offered?

For instance, was it understood that you may maintain an apartment in your home country so your company paid for your Gaborone housing in full? I am coming from NYC where many people do not own a car. Did your company provide a vehicle for you to use while you are in Gaborone? Etc.

I would really really appreciate any information or advice.

I look forward to hopefully bumping into some of you when I arrive in August!
