An evening with a world traveler - in Geneva

On march 4th Protected content then 39 year old Sjaak Lucassen left his home in the Netherlands and set out on a journey around the world on his motorcycle.
A journey that took him through all continents except Antarctica.
From Australia to Alaska, from Ushuaia to Nordkap.

He returned 5 years and 230.000 Km later.

Not only did he pack his whole life onto a motorcycle, he did it on a Yamaha R1. A bike built for the racetrack and never meant to cross African deserts or South American mud roads.

This evening Sjaak will tell us his story in pictures and videos and with his trademark dry humor.

You don’t have to know a thing about motorcycles to enjoy this, the motorcycle was just the instrument chosen for the trip.
The real story is in the people and cultures he encountered and the obstacles he overcame.
A story about challenging yourself, thinking outside the box and dealing with problems as you encounter them, simply because you have to.

Of course if you ARE into it, he will bring the actual bike he rode with him and is always willing to share travel tips and ideas.

Sjaak is one of the worlds true originals and has led a life that will inspire and amaze you.
