Anyone moved from the USA to Geneva?

My husband and I are getting ready to move to GVA from the USA and wanted to know what folks did as far as electronics? Did you buy adaptors Stateside? What do you recommend we buy in bulk? If we come with our unlocked phones, can we register with a local cell phone carrier? How did you negotiate health insurance? Suggestions/ links on how to catch up with US shows? Apologies for all the questions, just need some guidance.
