Medias as Instrument for Peace, Conference 3/14 (Geneva)

Philippe Dahinden, journalist and founder of Hirondelle Foundation ( Protected content ) will present his experience in launching new radio stations in areas of conflicts, in Africa,as intruments for Peace.

Philippe has started in Ruanda, during the genocide, with his colleagues of "Reporters sans Frontières". He is now training local journalists in various countries, so as to provide a neutral and balanced information in troubles areas, now with the support of international organisations and sometimes governments.

The conference will be held by Circle 21 at Domaine de Penthes (just in front of teh American Mission to UN) Monday 14 March, 6:30 to 8:30 pm. It is possible then to have dinner together at the Restaurant du Creux de Genthod (filets de perche, 39 CHF). The conference is free.
