Moving from Nyon to Neuchatel (Geneva)

Hi, I am considering moving from Nyon to Neuchatel. I have lived in and around Geneva area, including Nyon, for more than 6 years. I have a lot of friends and contacts.

What's it like to live in Neuchatel in comparison to Geneva/Nyon. I speak French and a bit of German. But from other forums that I read, it seems, newcomers are a bit isolated.
