As a key leader within the organisation new Risk Response Network (RRN), you will have broad responsibility for helping set the intellectual agenda and priorities for the org.research and communications related to global risks and challenges. You will oversee several teams within the RRN, including the Strategic Risk Foresight Team, the Content Curation Team and the RRN's Knowledge Integration efforts. For the Strategic Foresight Team, you will oversee the positioning and development of the function by planning projects, defining priorities and aligning efforts with other parts of the wider organization. You will directly lead key global research projects, which have broad implications for the RRN and many private and public sector constituents of the Forum. For the RRN’s Content Curation team, you will set editorial priorities and act as lead author for on and offline knowledge products, reports and communications. You will be responsible for overseeing the development of the RRN’s online products, including establishing its value proposition for a new “dashboard” that will link content generation by the orgs. with contributions from third parties; in coordination with the Media Team, you will determine the RRN outreach and publication priorities. For the Knowledge Integration effort, you will support and ensure the cross-organization alignment, focus and priority setting with respect to all areas of risk. You will also lead the strategic planning efforts within the RRN, focusing on development and implementation of the team's strategy and objectives.
You have an advanced university degree and at least 10 years of successful international experience in a key leadership position within a multinational corporation or government. You have overseen strategic projects and managed significant high-achieving teams. You are comfortable communicating with senior leaders across the private and public sectors, and have a strong network of contacts. You are a strategic thinker with demonstrated leadership capabilities and outstanding communication and relationship management skills. You have experience dealing with, managing and/or modelling complex systemic risks, and helping organizations understand, prepare for or capture opportunities related to these areas of risk. The role is Geneva-based, but will require some international travel including one week per month in New York.
