Survey question - about meeting locals... (Geneva)

Hi, I completed the survey and one topic really triggered my curiosity. It was the question on how important is it for you to meet locals at events

Now that is a really very important question as very few locals attend Internations events.

Now, why is that? why locals aren't interested in attending expat events? or it is the way around... expats aren't really really interested in mingling with locals so not much is done to attract them make them feel welcome...

just wondering...
