For those interested, there is a concert, actually there is 5, by Leonhard Cohen at the Sint-Pieters plein starting this WE, Sunday 12 August. There is still a couple of tickets available, but not for all of the concerts. Either in favor or not, but at his age Protected content !!!, one can only take one's hat off for this performer, his voice, his "présence sur scène"! You won't be disappointed, for sure.

Another local event going on, if you missed the "Gentse Feesten", this is not the same, but on a small scale and a good ambiance and if you're into ethnic neigborhoods, definitely interesting. All for free, mainly locals, but LOTS of non-locals! The "Patersholfeesten" in the Oudburg area.

There is very good Jazz Festival going on north of Ghent near the Dutch border, in a small village called Assenede, but probably for most of you it's too far out. It's called "Jazzenede".
