Safe Areas to Stay in Glasgow

Hello Everyone!

I hope to spend a few months in Glasgow soon. I would be grateful for some advice on safe areas to stay within Glasgow City. Currently, I have two options for accommodation:

a) Near the Salt Market / St. Andrews Street
b) Clyde Road

Are these areas considered safe? I need to be able to walk to and from Cathedral street.

Any advice or tips on safe areas to stay would be most appreciated. Cheers!
