Events in Groningen - August 2013

August is the month hosting the famous Norderzone festival which is very much liked by the inhabitants. You may have enjoyed it in the Noorderplantsoen this year between Aug 15th and Aug 25th.

End of the month, August 30th (this Friday), our Internations gathering welcome back to Groningenwill be held ! Join us, details under the event section of the website.

In the meantime, note that today August 28th is the Bommen Berend which is also called Gronings Ontzet,
during the Third Anglo-Dutch War in Protected content , when the city was attacked fiercely by the bishop of Münster, Bernhard von Galen. The city walls resisted, an event which is celebrated with music and fireworks on 28 August.
