Garden or Event Space (Guadalajara)

Friends,

I am a USA citizen recently arrived in Guadalajara, living with my Mexican wife in Zapopan. Her daughter, visiting soon from the UK, is looking for a simple event space for a 40-person family event. We don't need fancy hotel function room or an expensively produced event. We have a local mexican caterer providing traditional foods, and family-made desserts. Does anyone know of a reasonable outdoor or indoor space, such as an organization or community garden? Last year i held a similar family gathering at the Lake Chapala Society grounds in Ajijic, which was perfect both location and price-wise. This time they want to be in Guadalajara. Any suggestions?
