GDL Relocation Confusion (Guadalajara)

Hi, I am finding that it is incredibly hard to get solid, accurate info on GDL specifically on apartment rentals and the internet speeds.

Currently I pay $700.00 for a studio condo in a quiet, secure, concrete construction building in the U.S. My internet speed is 80mbps for my down and 5mbps for my up and I can't work with any lower speed than that.

I can't confirm anything on smaller studio or 1 bedroom rentals or the internet speed. Axtel advertises 200mbps speed but they are only available in certain areas. I have already had people ask me to pay for relocation services but they have not been able to answer any of my basic questions so I smell scam.

I need the straight story from Americans who are currently living in GDL. My feeling is if rents are the same or more in GDL why would I bother to leave the U.S.
