Full body Medical to work in Guangzhou?

Hi everyone!
I am hoping to leave for Dongguan as soon as my Visa application has gone through. Although my employer in China has said I have to complete a full body medical test before coming. I have looked online and I can't see anywhere on the Chinese Embassy website to suggest that I need this medical exam. I have contacted my GP who also seems to have no idea how to go about the whole process. I did notice on some forums it was suggested I could possibly get the medical completed upon arriving in China, which is cheaper, quicker and is done exactly how the authorities want it. Has anyone got any advice on this whole process at all? It is my first time moving abroad and my employers first time hiring a foreigner so the whole process is new to everyone.
