Returning to China after leaving quickly (Guangzhou)

Don't know if this is in the correct area, but it's a question about returning to china after having to leave quickly. My partner and I were living in Shanghai, where she was a teacher in a international college. We were having issues with the college and little help from either them or the landlord of our flat. We decided the best option was to leave as soon as possible. In doing so we left without sticking to the terms of our rental contract for the flat.

My question is "Will this cause us a problem on entering China for a second time, as she has now been offered another job in Gangzhou. You do hear of stories in other countries, and we would not like to arrive in China and be arrested or refused entry because of this issue from before"
