International Transfer (Guatemala City)

Hi Guys
Don't know if anyone can help with this. I've moved from Australia with my wife (who is Guatemalan) and son to Guatemala. I need to periodically transfer money from Australia to Guatemala. We set up a citibank account in Guatemala and in Australia but the funds need to go through an intermediary in the states. The fees are unfortunately very high. Does anyone know of a better way.
