Cuenca Bound in Three Weeks! (Guayaquil)

I will be arriving in Cuenca on or about 3/12 and would to communicate with local expats on line prior to my arrival. Any advice or comments will be appreciated. Also, it will be nice if know a couple of people prior to my arrival. I am considering relocating based on the outcome of this trip.
