Planning on moving to Ecuador (Guayaquil)

My wife and I are planning on moving to Equador in about a year. We are starting to learn Spanish and are excited about getting immersed in the culture. One thing that is important is the weather. We have heard that the lows average about 50 and the highs about 70 in Guyayaquil. Has this been your experience?

Also, I work for home and the internet is important. Is the electricity reliable?

Finally, what are the pros and cons between Quito, Cuenca and Guyayaquil and even some of the smaller towns.
