Really want to move to ecuador (Guayaquil)

Hello everyone. I would really like to move to ecuador for a year or two but I am finding it very difficult to find a job first, My first language is English (is that a disadvantage) I am intermediate at spanish but i'm learning fast. I would be looking for employment in a hospitality kitchen environment. I have searched and searched the net for job listings in ecuador but so far have come up empty handed. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
