Possible move to Haiti

My wife and I have an opportunity to work for an Airline in Haiti. The Airline will be based out of PAP. We have done a lot of research and of course all the media likes to report is the negatives? Safety and Health are the 2 things that we worry about. We would be moving to Haiti and would need to rent a house. Currently we live on the Island of St.Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Looking for insight from people that have been to and live in Haiti so we can make a decision.
